The thesis that concerts in the music industry are culturally overrated for economic reasons will be the focus of a panel discussion on Tuesday evening in Chemnitz with actors from the cultural scene and “Free Press” culture director Tim Hofmann. He had set it up in his article “Welcome to the machine” from October 9th and thus triggered a controversy.
Represented are Professor Cornelia Zanger (TU Chemnitz), Franz Wagner-Streuber (Saxon Mozart Society), the musician Mazze Wiesner and the festival organizer Mirko Roßner. The event with the title “Concerts vs. sound carriers: is live out?” starts at 7 p.m. in the atrium of Kraftverkehr Chemnitz is open to the public and free of charge according to the 3G concept. (fp)
