Chennai: Prime Minister Modi, who came to Chennai, avoided calling ADMK’s Palaniswami and Panneerselvam in person. Therefore, Palaniswami met the Prime Minister at the welcome function and Panneerselvam at the send-off function.

A debate has arisen in the ADMK on whether to support the BJP top brass, Palanisamyka or Panneerselvathukka. Palaniswami, who went to participate in former President Ram Nath Kovind’s divisional function, tried to meet the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister in Delhi. However, both of them did not make time to meet. Palaniswami, disappointed by this, returned to Chennai without participating in the inauguration ceremony of the new President.

In this case, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Chennai the day before yesterday on a two-day visit. At the Chennai airport, Governor Ravi and ministers were welcomed by Palaniswami as the Leader of the Opposition. After participating in the opening ceremony of the Chess Olympiad in Chennai, Modi stayed at the Governor’s House for the night. Then Palaniswami and Panneerselvam tried to meet the Prime Minister; But permission was not received.

After the convocation ceremony of Anna University, the Prime Minister went to Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Chief Minister Stalin, ministers and former Chief Minister Panneerselvam participated in the send-off program at the Chennai airport.

Palaniswami participated in the welcome program and Panneerselvam participated in the send-off program. The Prime Minister inquired about the health of both of them and did not say anything further. It was thought that if the Prime Minister called the two separately and talked, there was a possibility of an amicable solution, but since he did not intervene, the chances of peace have decreased.

Regarding the meeting with the Prime Minister, Panneerselvam said, “The Prime Minister asked me how my health was; I said it was fine. Take care of your health,” he said. In response to a question about the case in which the ADMK appealed to the Supreme Court against the General Assembly, he said, “Gambling the life of Dharma; Dharma will win again,” he said.
