The first step towards qualification in the European competitions is what PAOK and AEK are aiming for today against Malmö and Noah.
In Sweden, the “double-headed eagle of the North” plays today (20:00, “Novasports Prime”) with the goal of achieving a positive result that will make the return leg next week easier and to be even closer to the Champions League playoffs.
“It will be a difficult match. Malmö is born to attack and fill the opponent’s area with players. But it’s not just about the style of play; it’s also about how we will organize our game; we need to confuse them. In football, the team that is focused, that can manage the situations, will have belief and will get what it wants. And we are talking about two matches, and the game in Toumba will not be easy for Malmö,” said Razvan Lucescu, the coach of PAOK, who will have all his players at his disposal.
On the other hand, Malmö’s coach Henrik Rydström said, “We need to force them to deal with what we want to do on the pitch. PAOK’s players are good, but we know we will be able to create problems for them, especially when we have the ball ourselves. We also need to play our ‘game,’ the one we train for every day, the one that has brought us this far.”
