PAOK won 4-1 against Volos at Pantheasikou in a match where they imposed their rhythm after a poor start and easily secured the victory. The players from Volos were reduced to ten men from the 35th minute due to the red card of Ferrari.
A few days before their European debut, PAOK secured a victory at Pantheasikou, winning 4-1 against Volos. The team from Magnesia started strong and tried to surprise PAOK, but Kotarski kept his team in the game. In the 1st minute, he made a double save, and in the 3rd minute, he said “no” to Altman during a penalty kick.
Subsequently, the Thessaloniki team took control of the match and began to pressure Volos. In the 24th minute, Schwab opened the scoring with a successful penalty kick, and PAOK took the lead in a match they had imposed their rhythm on, creating several chances. Subsequently, PAOK had chances for more goals and it’s worth noting that in the 49th minute they hit the post from a free-kick taken by Murgk. Kamara also hit the post in the 86th minute, while in the 89th minute, Tsalo hit an incredible goal when he put his foot in front of Kovacs during a clearance, and the ball deflected off him and ended up in the net for 1-4.
