OBITUARY
Sixteen years after the tragic death of his brother Andrea, the last heir of the historic Turin company passed away at the age of 65 after a long illness. Graduated in engineering from the Polytechnic, he completed an apprenticeship at Cadillac and General Motors
Is dead Pininfarina, grandson of the founder of the historic brand”>Paolo Pininfarina, 65 years old, at the top of the design company that bears his name. He had been ill for some time. Son of senator for life Sergio Pininfarina and nephew of the founder Battista “Pinin” Farina, passed away 16 years after the tragic death of his brother Andrea, who had taken over the company before him, was hit on a Vespa in 2008 by an elderly man driving who had not respected the right of way. He leaves his last wife, Ilariathe five children had in three relationships (Greta, Giovanni, Mouse, Tullius e Giulia) and the mother Giorgia Gianolio.
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin, in 1982 he started his own business in the family business. In 1983 he interned in the United States at Cadillac in Detroit and later in Japan at Honda. From 1984 to 1986 he was responsible for quality and reliability in the Allanté program for Cadillac. From 1987 to 1989 he was program manager in the Engineering GM 200 program for General Motors. In 1987 he was appointed managing director of Pininfarina Extra srl, a Pininfarina Group company operating in the industrial design, furniture and architecture sectors.
