Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan Papon went to Sri Lanka to attend the International Cricket Council (ICC) board meeting when the country was in turmoil over the quota version movement. Due to internet blackout, this biggest boss of Bangladesh cricket was somehow disconnected.

BCB president said, ‘There was no discussion about it in the board meeting. When I went there, the situation in the country was at its worst. Then communication with everyone outside is completely cut off. They were very alarmed by the news they were getting.’

The ICC board meeting was held on July 22 in Colombo. He returned home last night. Various issues including ICC tournaments, media rights were discussed in the board meeting.
The BCB president said, ‘ICC elections, other tournaments, media rights, the latest World Cup, whether it happened or not, there was a lot of discussion.’
Apart from this, Papon said that Pakistan is still the host country of Champions Trophy, ‘Champions Trophy was supposed to be held in Pakistan. So far that’s it.’
