Patna: Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav is going to start a new yatra in Bihar from 29 September. Pappu Yadav says that the leaders in Bihar travel only to gain power, not to serve the people. Today, in a press conference in Patna, Pappu Yadav, indirectly targeting Tejashwi Yadav, said, ‘In Bihar, travel is done to gain power, chair. There is no leader who can say that he has been beaten with lathi, has struggled, has helped a poor person. Such leaders have come from the back door, who are a threat to the Constitution.’

Neither the ruling party nor the opposition cares about the people of Bihar: Pappu Yadav

Pappu Yadav further said that neither the ruling party nor the opposition in Bihar cares about the public. He said, ‘The yatra of such people is not for the poor, not for the farmers. Be it the people in power in Bihar or the opposition, or anyone else, their yatra is against the sentiments of 14 crore people of Bihar.’

The journey will end at Gandhi Maidan in Patna: Pappu Yadav

The Purnia MP said that his journey will start from Araria on September 29, after which it will end at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on September 30 via Kishanganj and then Katihar. During this journey, many issues will be raised, including SC-ST Act, OBC reservation and Waqf Board.

Pappu Yadav opposed the decision of Waqf Board to register the cemetery

He said, ‘There are many issues, regarding SC-ST Act, rights and reservation for OBCs.. We are against those who attack freedom, no matter which religion they belong to. If people in power snatch someone’s rights and privileges, we are against them.’ Pappu Yadav also opposed the Waqf Board’s decision to register the graveyard.

He said that all the members of the Wakf Board have opposed this decision. Pappu Yadav said, ‘We have spoken to all the committee members of the Wakf Board. They are against the registration of the graveyard. Pappu Yadav will not let the rights of any religion be attacked as long as he is alive. If a black law like the Wakf Board is brought in the House, Pappu Yadav will be against it.’
