Parades drag crowds to the rhythm of hits and under slogans in favor of Lula – 02/13/2023 – Culture

The pre-Carnival festivities in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro were marked by crowds in the streets and political demonstrations. The celebrations take place a week before the start of Carnival.

The victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in the presidential elections against Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was remembered in declarations of carnival fans and celebrated loudly in moments of collective exaltation, on Sunday in São Paulo.

Likewise celebrated, the vaccine against Covid-19 was pointed out by many as being largely responsible for the return of the parades to the city, after the two-year interruption due to the pandemic.
