In addition to the rise recorded today by the “blue” market, the so-called “financial” or “implicit” dollars, resulting from stock market operations, ended the day on Monday on the rise.

The “MEP” or “Electronic Payment Market” segment closed with an average price of 1,408 pesos per unit, while the “CCL” or “Cash Settlement” segment closed at approximately 1,407 pesos at the end of the day.

Among the reasons given by market analysts for the rise in the parallel dollar in Argentina are the recent economic announcements made by the Government, which prolong the lifting of exchange controls, in addition to the ongoing policy of interest rate reduction by the BCRA.
