Parallel imports of auto parts are legalized in Russia

On March 30, the government allowed the so-called parallel import – the import into Russia of “in demand original goods” of foreign production without the consent of the copyright holders. The resolution abolishing responsibility for parallel imports has been signed, according to a statement on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers. The list of goods itself should be formed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the basis of proposals from departments.

The list of “in-demand original goods” will include spare parts for cars and special equipment, sources in industry organizations told Vedomosti.
