The British Sarah Storey won the 19th Paralympic title of her career during the road race in the C4-C5 category on Friday September 6 in the suburbs of Paris, the last event in which she participated during these Paris Paralympic Games . At the age of 46, the cyclist born with a deformity in his left hand won his 30th medal since his first time on the Paralympic stage during the Barcelona Games in 1992. On the 14.2 km route in Seine-Saint-Denis, near Paris, he dominated his opponents and beat the Frenchwoman Heïdi Gaugain, 27 years his junior, by a few minutes. He left the Paris Paralympic games with two gold medals.
