After the demonstration on the Place de la Concorde and the first parades of the countries during the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games Paris 2024, 150 of the 240 French athletes completed the parade of athletes as night fell in Paris.

There is no sunset for the French like the first countries, but the atmosphere is warm for those who will participate in the Paris Paralympic competition for twelve days. Led by triathlete Alexis Hanquinquant and runner Nantenin Keïta, the French delegation also wore the same uniforms as their colleagues from the Olympic Games a month ago.

When his colleagues arrived, French DJ Myd, on the decks throughout the parade, chose to play one of the hits of the Olympic Games, namely “Que je t’aime” by Johnny Hallyday. “Emmenez-moi” by Charles Aznavour followed, to be among the classics of French music.

Another wing, the captain of the French blind football team Yvan Wouandji, who was injured and out of the competition, carried the sign of the French representative. A normal role is assigned to help other countries. The French parade precedes the second part of this final ceremony, also with dancing and singing.
