After two months of intense fighting in the north of the Gaza Strip, the combat team of the paratrooper brigade has begun operating in the Khan Yunis area this week. This team has joined forces with Division 98, who are currently fighting in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Upon entering the area, the combat team launched an attack on a number of terrorist infrastructures, including observation posts, anti-tank posts, and Hamas weapons warehouses. The fighters were successful in eliminating terrorists in short-range encounters, thanks to the precise work of the sniper teams within the brigade. The team is also working tirelessly to locate tunnel shafts and underground lines in the field.

During their mission, the fighters identified a terrorist emerging from a shaft with an RPG missile pointed in their direction. They acted swiftly, firing and killing the terrorist. In a separate encounter, three terrorists were identified near the team. After directing an Air Force aircraft to the location, one of the terrorists was eliminated. The other two attempted to flee and were identified firing RPG missiles between two nearby buildings. Armored forces fired tanks at them, ultimately eliminating the terrorists.

In another successful attack, a military infrastructure belonging to the commanders of the South Khan Yunis Battalion was destroyed by the paratrooper brigade’s combat team.

The efforts of the combat team signify a crucial development in the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. Their precise and effective actions are contributing to the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of the area.
