Forgery: Following the dismissal of a petition filed by the Supreme Court challenging the High Court’s order regarding re-mortem, the parents of a Kallakurichi schoolgirl have agreed to buy her body.
The daughter of Ramalingam, a resident of Periyanesalur village in Cuddalore district, was studying Plus 2 at Shakti Matric Higher Secondary School in Kaniyamur near Chinnasalem. It is said that he died after falling down from the 3rd floor of the school’s hostel building on the 13th. Subsequently, when the district administration offered to hand over her body on the 16th after the post-mortem, the student’s parents refused to receive her body and filed a case in the Madras High Court demanding that a re-post-mortem be conducted in the presence of their own doctor.
The High Court heard the case and ordered the re-mortem of the student’s body to be conducted on the 18th in the presence of the CBCID investigation committee. The High Court had allowed the student’s parents to be present during the examination. The student’s parents then appealed to the Supreme Court. However, the Supreme Court refused to hear the case immediately and refused to order a re-post-mortem.
Subsequently, regarding the re-mortem examination of the student’s body, the Chinnasalem District Collector pasted a notice at the house of the student’s parents asking them to come and participate in the re-mortem examination.
