Eitan and Mirav Gonen, the parents of 23-year-old Rumi, who is in the captivity of Hamas, as well as Shai and Meriv Vankert, the parents of Omer, who is also in the captivity of Hamas, arrived on Saturday night at the home of Mea Shearim Yoalish Krois, danced, sang, cried and sat down for a long conversation with the family members.

‘Bachderi Haredim’ learned that towards midnight, when Yoalish Krois was sitting with his family members for a Shabbat night meal, two unusual-looking couples arrived at his house located in the ancient market of Mea Shearim and asked to see what the Shabbat table of the old settlement looked like.

The parents of the abductees said that they were staying at a nearby hotel, and asked to go to the rebbe’s tishes in the area, but since there were no tishes this Shabbat, the couple learned about the Kreuz family, which many come to, and they made their way to the well-known house.

The couples, who were received with a warm welcome, said that their children were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists at the music festival on the holiday of Simchat Torah and are now in captivity in Gaza.
Upon hearing the identity of the visitors, the members of the Kroys family were shocked, as soon as they came to their senses they encouraged the parents for a long hour. The members of the house hugged, danced and sang with them to strengthen them.

Later, Yoalish’s wife, Rachel Krois, locked herself in a nearby room with the mothers of the abductees until three o’clock PNAV where a personal and strengthening conversation was held.

The couples told the Kroys family that since the abduction they had started observing Shabbat. Eitan, Omer Weinkrot’s father, said that shortly after his son Omer was kidnapped, they sent him new tefillin for his son, and since then he (Shay) puts them on every morning and thus communicates with his son.
