The individual judo competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris have ended.

As reported by İdman.biz, Azerbaijani judokas finished the Olympics with two gold medals, writing new history.

Hidayat Geydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoev sang our anthem in the French capital.

Athletes from five countries managed to take the top step of the podium in judo competitions at the Games. Azerbaijan and Japan achieved this by winning two gold medals each, while France, Georgia and Kazakhstan won one each.

In total, judokas from 13 countries won medals at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Azerbaijan (2-0-0) took second place in the medal count. Japan (2-1-2) took first place, France (1-2-1) rounded out the top three.

It should be noted that this figure is an achievement in the history of Azerbaijani judo.
