The organizers made a point of honor of setting up a “Maison Maroc” which was inaugurated with great pomp in the heart of the “Africa station” festivities space dedicated to African culture and sport.
With a decor of a caidal tent decked out in national colours, Maison Maroc displays a selection of handicrafts, local products and Moroccan gastronomic specialities.
“The Kingdom, a land of cultural riches and age-old traditions, is honored to be able to share its most precious treasures with visitors to the Maison Maroc,” said in a statement to MAP, the Consul General in Villemomble, Sabah Ait El Bachir on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of this space against a backdrop of popular Moroccan music and dakka marrakchia.
“Maison Maroc is a space dedicated to discovery and exchange. There you will find works by Moroccan artisans, authentic flavors of our cuisine, but also sporting demonstrations by our Moroccan athletes,” she added.
For the event manager Said Khourach, Maison Maroc aims to be a showcase of Moroccan craftsmanship where traditional jewelry, copper and leather items, as well as a variety of Moroccan gastronomic products are exhibited.
“Each product is the fruit of ancestral know-how and reflects the cultural richness of Morocco,” he said, adding that this exhibition allows us to share these treasures and offer an authentic immersion in Moroccan art and tradition.
The “Africa station” fan zone will welcome the public until August 11 for broadcasts of competitions and events, concerts, shows, exhibitions and meetings with athletes.
The site will vibrate on August 1st to the rhythms of Moroccan music and culture with the participation of many artists from the Kingdom.
