Did you think that the next municipal elections were only scheduled for 2026? From next year, however, a mayor could have the heavy task of representing some 15,000 people in a sector located straddling three towns of Seine-Saint-Denis: Saint-Ouen, Saint-Denis and L’Île-Saint -Denis. Because it is an old custom of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, however little known to the general public: a “mayor of the Olympic village” is traditionally appointed by the organizing committee of the Games.
