Paris: a balcony collapses, vital prognosis for two people

Two people, a woman in her 60s and a man in her 65s, were on a balcony on the fifth floor of a building on Avenue d’Italie, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, when a important part of the latter collapsed this Friday evening. The facts took place around 7:45 p.m., according to the firefighters. “A significant part” of a balcony collapsed on the courtyard side, on the fifth floor of a building which has six, avenue d’Italie, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

35 firefighters mobilized

Two people, a man around 65 and a woman around 60, according to firefighters, were on this balcony and were taken care of by firefighters. They both suffer from multiple traumas and their vital prognosis is engaged. These two people were transported to the Kremlin-Bicêtre and Georges Pompidou hospitals. The Paris firefighters said no other injuries were to be deplored.

In its fall, the balcony hit the one just below, on the fourth floor. A city architect is on site to inspect the damage.
