Stolen then found the same night. A RATP bus parked near the Gare de l’Est (10th arrondissement of Paris) was stolen overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, shortly after 2 a.m., a police source told Le Parisien, confirming information from the site News17.
The alert was given and the vehicle was found “soon after, empty”, assures the same police source. This bus could be spotted fairly quickly thanks to geolocation, it is explained, abandoned not far from the place where the theft had taken place.
The bus in question is a Noctilien (night bus) on line 41, which goes from the Gare de l’Est to Villeparisis – Mitry-le-Neuf (Seine-et-Marne). According to Actu17, the driver had left his vehicle empty, the engine running, during a break.
The thief or thieves have not been found, but a complaint has been filed. An investigation is underway.
