The most expensive city in the world was found by comparing the prices of goods and services in 173 cities around the world. The high value of the Israeli shekel against the US dollar and the high cost of goods and transport make Tel Aviv expensive.
Paris and Singapore are in second place. Zurich and Hong Kong are third. New York is sixth and Geneva is seventh. Other expensive cities are Copenhagen Eight, Los Angeles Nine and Osaka 10.
In last year’s survey, Paris, Hong Kong and Zurich topped the list.
