There it’s finished. After three joyful, dancing and funny days, Paris Paradise, the festival dedicated to the music and humor of the Parisian, closed its doors on Sunday evening, at the Parc de la Villette, a favorite place of this festive Paname, bringing together more than 60 artists, singers and comedians. With a guest of honor, a blazing sun which accompanied us these three days and did not discourage the delighted festival-goers.

A particularly hot last day and an atmosphere as joyful as ever. The highlight of the festival, at 8 p.m., Kendji Girac set La Villette on fire from the first notes of his hit “Andalouse”. This evening, the young singer-guitarist, always so generous, had a hell of a catch for his der. “I’m delighted to play in this magnificent setting, I’m finishing my tour here after 140 dates,” he tells us before going on stage. And good news for fans, he will then record his sixth album for his ten-year career.

La der by Julien Clerc, the show by Ehla

It’s difficult to draw up a musical assessment by citing everyone. So many highlights. Of course the magnificent concert by Julien Clerc, the last of his tour, which made the audience sing along to his immortal hits like “California” or “Lili wanted to go dancing”. Extraordinary too, the young Zaho from Sagazan, so generous on stage, Ehla who gave us a dancing and joyful show and the young Picard singer Oete who has everything of a great.

Paris Paradis was also the fanfare return between rock and hip-hop of Silmarils and crazy moments with Mosimann and Ko Ko Mo going onto the lawn to sing with the public. Coline Rio and Jannie also amazed us. On stage, neither of them lacks character. The teenagers but also their parents sang “Dépassé”, the pop hit from Nuit incolore. We of course regretted the absence of the Moroccan singer Manal who had to cancel her visit following the earthquake which hit her country.

A stone’s throw from the Géode which shines with all its lights and seems to watch over the musical scene, the Cabaret Sauvage. On the program, comedians’ sets made up of stars of course but also young, little-known artists. The cream of the new generation of humor, according to festival-goers delighted to discover them. In music as in humor, Paris Paradis is truly a talent scout.

With his one-man show “Emmanuel 2” about his daily life as a dad, Manu Payet made the room cry with laughter and with his caustic humor and his energy, Élodie Poux packed the show. Among the hits, Marine Baousson’s performance. With her extraordinary banter, the new France Inter columnist set the marquee on fire.

But also Tristan Lopin, Vérino and Merwane Benlazar who made us laugh out loud. As for discoveries, Alexandra Roth and David Voinson, one of the sensations of the moment, have earned their comedian stripes hands down at La Villette.

For those who were present on Sunday afternoon at Cabaret Sauvage, Morgane Cadignan, one of the sharpest writers of French stand-up, and the Belgian Fanny Ruwet, columnist for France Inter, gave them a great gift. Both performed exclusively passages from their future shows. It feels good to laugh so much on a Sunday before going back to work this Monday, full of floods and waves of memories in your head.
