Parishioners of a mosque in Kotelniki near Moscow, who were detained during Friday prayers, were released from the police station without drawing up protocols. This was announced by Maria Krasova, a lawyer from the Civic Assistance Committee (the organization is included in the register of foreign agents), reports TASS.
“As one of the law enforcement officers told me, the detention was part of some verification activities, within the framework of which DNA was taken from the detainees,” said Krasova. She stressed that at the time of the arrest, there were about 600 people in the mosque.
“The Russians who were there were released after checking their passports. Foreign citizens were taken to the department, where they were released after collecting DNA, ”the lawyer added.

Earlier, police came to the Kotelnikov Muslim Center. Krasova reported that 60 people were detained.
