Parisian homeless benefit from free luggage storage and laundry service

by time news

“I have a locker there, there are my clothes, and everything you need for the shower,” rejoices Karim, a homeless Parisian. Thanks to the Onze Mille Potes association, he has free access to a locker where he can store his personal belongings and a laundry where he can shower and clean his clothes. “It allows me to be clean, to be like everyone else, despite my situation as a ‘galley slave’. It helps to take a leap towards “normal” life”.

An association in perpetual search for donations and funding

Onze Mille Potes is run entirely by volunteers: “For it to work, it’s a bit complicated. We all have jobs on the side, and we also want to expand our association to fit out the premises and have more lockers, so today we are clearly looking for funding,” says Sara, a volunteer.
