In order to provide a quality public space, the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) inaugurated a new park in the municipality of San Juan Opico, in the sector where the Claudia Lars peripheral was built.
“We know that our country has historically lacked public spaces, that is why the decision was made to build a park where they do not charge to enter and where families can come to enjoy whenever they want,” said MOP Minister Romeo Rodriguez.
This park has a space of 18,000 square meters, in which different areas were built: basketball courts, a small amphitheater, a fountain, children’s play areas, a skating rink, recreation areas, sales areas and a parking.
In addition, the new park has a monument to honor Claudia Lars, a prominent Salvadoran poet originally from the western part of the country.
