A South Korean woman at the centre of a growing scandal involving alleged illegal medical treatment provided to high-profile celebrities has publicly refuted claims against her,alleging a biased media campaign and threatening legal action. The individual,known colloquially as the “Injection Aunt,” issued a statement on social media on March 23rd,claiming her reputation has been unfairly damaged by unsubstantiated reports.

The controversy initially surfaced in December of last year when former managers filed a lawsuit against broadcaster Park Na-rae.These managers alleged that Park Na-rae received injections and prescriptions for psychotropic drugs at her home and in her vehicle. The woman, identified only as ‘A’, vehemently denies these accusations, stating that a media outlet launched a “provocative” campaign based on a “manager’s report” that lacked sufficient fact-checking. She further contends that several YouTubers and social media channels, including SBS’s “Curious Story Y,” amplified the negative attention by repeatedly using the inflammatory moniker “Aunt Injection.”
“Consequently, untrue personal life and gossipy content are being spread in a distorted form,” she wrote in her statement.
Legal Action Looms Over Messenger Leak
‘A’ indicated she intends to pursue legal recourse against both the media and individuals who disseminated private conversations obtained from her messaging apps. She shared a screenshot of a ChatGPT response outlining the stipulations of South Korea’s Interaction Secrets Protection Act and the Information and Communications Network Act, signaling her intent to challenge the legality of accessing and sharing her personal communications.
“The only place where I can tell the truth is the investigative agency,” she stated.
Credentials and Celebrity Clients
Despite the allegations, ‘A’ maintains she is a qualified medical professional.She claims to have studied extensively in Inner Mongolia 12 to 3 years ago, becoming the first Korean to serve as the youngest professor outside of Pojiang Medical University Hospital.
Park Na-rae’s representatives initially stated they believed ‘A’ possessed a valid medical license and that the treatments received were simply “nutritional injections,” not propofol. However, the controversy escalated, leading to admissions from Park Na-rae, YouTuber Ipshort Hat, and SHINee member Key – all of whom were known to have received treatment from ‘A’ – and subsequent suspensions of their broadcasting activities.
