Parliament – ​​Ethics Committee: Unanimous decision to lift Baran Burhan’s immunity

Unanimously, the members of the Ethics Committee of the Parliament decided to recommend to the Plenary Session of the Parliament the lifting of the immunity of the MP of Xanthi – until yesterday a member of K.O. of PASOK– Baran Burhanwhose case concerns illegal prescription.

Mr. Burhan presented himself to the Commission and gave clarifications on his case, also requesting the lifting of his immunity.

It is noted that Mr. Burhan, who was elected with PASOK-KINAL, yesterday, as soon as it became known that he is being controlled by the judiciary, by the decision of the president of the party, Nikos Androulakis, he was excluded from the Parliamentary Group until his case is fully resolved by the courts.
