The supplementary funds of 37 thousand 817 crore 40 lakh 57 thousand taka for the present monetary 12 months 2023-24 has been handed by the Nationwide Parliament. By means of this, the ministries or departments of the federal government which have spent greater than their authentic allocation, have been authorized.
Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali on Monday (June 10) launched the ‘Specification (Supplementary) Invoice-2024’ in Parliament. The invoice was launched to authorize appropriations and appropriations in extra of appropriations from the Consolidated Fund to hold out operations for the fiscal 12 months ending June 30. The invoice was later handed by voice vote.
In the principle funds of the present monetary 12 months, 7 lakh 61 thousand 785 crores have been allotted in favor of 62 ministries and departments. Within the revised funds, the allocation of twenty-two ministries and departments has elevated by Tk 37 thousand 817 crore. Budgets of 40 ministries and departments are unchanged or lowered. Total, the revised funds was lowered by Tk 47 thousand 367 crore to Tk 7 lakh 14 thousand 418 crore.
The planning division has obtained the utmost allocation of Tk 12 thousand 649 crore 33 lakh 68 thousand within the supplementary funds. 4 MPs proposed 66 cuts towards 20 calls for within the supplementary funds. Amongst them, the lower proposal was mentioned on two sanction claims, particularly the Division of Financial Relations and the Division of Data and Communication Know-how. Earlier, members of the federal government and opposition events mentioned the supplementary funds.
