Parliament of Sri Lanka to relax restrictions..! New notification released

It has been announced that the restrictions imposed on visiting the Parliament have been relaxed due to the Corona situation in the country and security reasons.

A proposal by Padakkala Sevidar to relax the said restrictions was approved by the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs yesterday (14).

Applications to visit Parliament

In the first phase, it has been agreed to grant permission to parties including school students who want to visit Parliament on other days except Parliament session days.

Accordingly, with effect from the 20th, they will be allowed to visit the Parliament from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm (excluding holidays) on non-session days, said Narendra Fernandhu, Parliamentary Staff Officer.

It has been announced that applications for visiting Parliament can be submitted by letter, fax (0112777473/ 0112777335) or online at www.parliament.lk.

Student groups of universities, higher education institutions registered under the government and foreign tourists can also avail this facility, Padkala Savidar added.
