Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: Member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Raed Al-Maliki, revealed on Thursday the fate of the general amnesty law, while suggesting the deportation of a number of important laws.
Al-Maliki said in a statement, “A number of important laws will be transferred to the first legislative term of the third legislative year, including the General Amnesty Law.”
He added, “The general amnesty law will be discussed after the provincial council elections,” noting that “the period remaining until Parliament enters its legislative recess is not sufficient to legislate important laws.”
Al-Maliki pointed out, “Many laws will be transferred to the next legislative term, hoping that there will be a political agreement to pass them.”
