“Regarding the reconstruction works of the Victory boiler house, from 07.23.2024 at 8 a.m. until 26 July 2024 at 2 p.m. the supply of hot water to the residents of the central part of Kaunas will be temporarily suspended – in the area from MKČiurlionas street to Birštonas and Gimnazijas streets and in H. and O. Minkovskii and surrounding streets in the section from Europos prospect to Gintariškiu street,” Kauno energija reported.
The company informs that from July 29 8 o’clock until August 1 at 5 p.m. hot water supply will also be stopped in the area from Birštonas and Gimnazija streets to Santaka Park.
It is reminded that in this section on June 17 starting the reconstruction works of the heat network, traffic will be restricted to two lanes in the section from the Kaunas Maironis University Gymnasium (Gimnazijos St. 3) to the underground passage (Vilniaus St.). On Tuesday, “Kauno energija” clarified the information – residents of the central part of Kaunas will be left without hot water twice.
“Vytautas Ave. On the 23rd, the hot water supply will be temporarily stopped twice: from 07.23 to 07.26 – due to the repair of the “Pergalė” boiler room, and from 07.30 to 08.02 – due to ongoing hydraulic tests. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the work at the “Pergalė” boiler room, it is not possible to conduct hydraulic tests during their execution, so they will be carried out after the repair of the boiler room is completed,” explained AB Kauno Energija press representative Šarūnas Bulota.
