Between 8:00 p.m. this Friday and until 6:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, a portion of the Bejucal Causeway will remain completely closed to traffic, due to rehabilitation work on the hydraulic network.

As reported by the Havana Road Safety Commission, the affected section will be from Avenida Güinera to 100th Street.

The text indicates that the work to be carried out by the Havana Water Company is aimed at improving the water supply to the Ángel Arturo Aballí Pediatric Hospital, hence the need to implement the closure of that part of the busy capital avenue.

Meanwhile, due to this closure, the Havana Provincial Transport Company will limit the public transport service during the hours of confrontation.

After 6:00 am on Saturday, and until the planned work is completed, the Bejucal roadway will have double circulation in the direction from the hospital to Avenida Güinera, but in the opposite direction it will be completely closed to vehicular traffic.

For this reason, the Provincial Road Safety Commission of the capital called on road users to take extreme precautionary measures and comply with the established provisions.

In addition, he asked drivers and passers-by to be attentive to the directions of traffic agents at the scene.

The Havana Water Company has carried out a maintenance program in the city in recent months that includes large-scale works, such as the connection on 23rd Street, Vedado and in the vicinity of the Cuatro Caminos Market.

Currently, this entity works in the Marino-Palatino pipeline, in the Cerro municipality, in the West pipeline, in the Playa, Marianao and La Lisa municipalities, and in the South pipeline, to benefit the water supply to Guanabacoa.
