Around noon in the city of Seine Maritime, in Franceemergency units and firefighters were mobilized towards the Rouen Cathedral due to a strong fire in the spire of this emblematic monument in the area.

Fire at Rouen Cathedral is under control
After a couple of hours of this fire being recorded, the mayor, Nicolas Mayer-Rossignolgave some details of this event in his X account, noting that “the fire started at the spire of Rouen Cathedral. The origin is unknown at the moment.”
Along with this, Stéphane Gouezec, director of the departmental fire and rescue servicementioned that the fire was under control and that they were currently working to completely extinguish it and begin cooling the area.
