A Sports India District Center for elementary level athletic training is to be set up at the Perambalur District Sports Hall under the ‘Sports India’ scheme funded by the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority. In this center, 30 to 100 sportsmen and women are admitted and trained daily.
A nationally accomplished athlete and athlete under the age of 40 will be selected to train here. Candidate should be a resident of Perambalur district for at least 5 years and have won medals in international or national level competitions in athletics or medal winners in All India Inter-University competitions, participated in international competitions and senior national competitions.
A monthly training fee of Rs. 18 thousand will be given. It is not a permanent job, purely temporary and cannot claim employment benefits, permanent job. The application for this can only be submitted on the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority website on Jan. Apply by 5 pm on 3rd.
