jpnn.comBALI – ION Network (ION) is collaborating with PT Ketrosden Triasmitra (KETR) through its subsidiary PT Jejaring Mitra Persada to utilize the fiber optic cable line of the Jakarta Surabaya Sea Cable Communication System (SKKL Jayabaya) with the Indefeasible Right of Use (IRU) scheme.

The collaboration was strengthened by signing an MoU between ION Network and PT Jejaring Mitra Persada at the Stone Hotel, Kuta Bali, Monday (26/8) evening.

The collaboration aims to address the increasing demand for internet services on Java Island, which continues to grow all the time.

ION Commercial Director, Ricky Simanjuntak said that the rapid development of IT & multimedia has made the internet a media tool that plays a very important role in the telecommunications industry and other fields.

This is also in line with the growing number of customers owned by ION Network (ION), so the need for telecommunications services for customers is also increasing.

According to him, the increase has been more drastic since the Covid-19 outbreak which forced face-to-face activities to be carried out using online meeting facilities or online (online) in order to avoid physical meetings so that the outbreak does not spread further.

“The selection of the SKKL Jayabaya route owned by Triasmitra Group is in accordance with our business development efforts, especially in the Java region, where needs are increasing rapidly,” said Ricky in his press release, Tuesday.

He added that in the future, service improvements will not only be carried out on the island of Java, but also outside Java according to consumer needs.
