Lamia was better throughout the match and prevailed away from home with a wide 4-1 of PAS Ioannina in a game full of phases and emotions. Carlitos Athanasiou took two penalties, but he lost the ball in Lamia’s third goal
A very big victory with a score of 4-1 in Ioannina over PAS was won by Lamia, which is now in sixth place in the standings, one point behind Asteras Tripoli.
Epirotes on the other hand are in a very difficult position as they will have to…climb a mountain in order to avoid relegation.
The game in the first half had everything… with Lamia losing on 12 penalties with Karlitos, who was “fished” by Athanasiou.
However, the guests persisted and with the Spaniard unleashing a terrific direct diagonal shot in the opposite corner in the 20th minute, they opened the score (0-1).
After two minutes, Amaral “danced” through the defense of PAS Ioannina and launched a strong shot into the closed corner of Athanasios, making it 0-2!
From that point onwards, however, the Epirus… woke up, took advantage of Lamia’s choice to go back and in the 41st minute they reduced with Conte, who saw the defenders’ weakness and entered the net with the ball after a shot by Soria, while four minutes later, PAS had a goal with Eramouspe!
Athanasiou, however, was to be the face of the match, as in the 60th minute, Lamia won another penalty after Martinez was tipped over. Karlitos took it upon himself to execute it again and the goalkeeper of PAS saved again!
But the goalkeeper of the home team was careless in the 62′ and in a seemingly easy phase he lost the ball with Tsilouli taking advantage and making it 1-3.
The game became procedural with Lamia having an absolute advantage and even reaching the triumph with Tsiloulis, who ran into the empty space after Martinez’s vertical pass in the 81′ and made 1-4 to get a big win.
