Russia reacted quite harshly to the trilateral meeting expected in Brussels on April 5. The Armenian side gave an equally harsh response, Day.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.

This figure, once accepted by Russian circles, went so far that recently on the air of the Public Television of Armenia she stated: Russia has set out to “put our statehood on knees.” According to Simonyan, it was Russia that “allowed Azerbaijan to attack Armenia, surrender Karabakh,” etc. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin called all this a lie,” the media note.
Meanwhile, Pashinyan, with the help of Alen Simonyan, is trying to put an end to the Armenian-Russian relations hanging by a thread.
“He kills several birds with one stone: he completely denigrates Alen Simonyan, and also probes the waters – how Russia will react to such statements. If the reaction is too harsh, then the prime minister will “sacrifice” the speaker of the National Assembly: they say, it was his personal opinion. If the reaction from Russia is not too sharp, then Pashinyan will finally “fly” into the arms of the West, burning all Armenian-Russian bridges,” write the Armenian media.
