In Xanthi, the president of PASOK-KINAL spoke.
Regarding the ongoing internal party process, Mr. Androulakis referred to the political autonomy of PASOK-Movement for Change, the success of taking the first position in two electoral districts of Crete, and the registration of the Movement as the second force in 22 electoral districts of the region.
“I ask you to give me the opportunity to continue my efforts. What I have described was not achieved in five or ten years, but in just two years. My term hasn’t even ended, and this whole affair began, which hurts the party. The party is not me; it is all of you. Our collective effort has disproved New Democracy and SYRIZA, who presumed that PASOK had closed its chapter. PASOK not only has not closed its chapter, but it is celebrating its 50 years on Tuesday, united, strengthened, and with the prospect of being the party that will open the exit door for New Democracy in the next national elections,” he emphasized.
“I cannot clash with specific networks of collusion and media and have some people doing public relations. I have never done that. I have always stood by what is just and the party, and everyone must do the same. This means moral and political unity.”
