jpnn.comJAKARTA – Senior Golkar politician Jusuf Hamka or Babah Alun submitted a letter of resignation as a cadre of the party with the Banyan Tree symbol on Monday (12/8).
Babah Alun submitted his resignation letter in person by visiting the Golkar DPP office, West Jakarta, this Monday.
Initially, Babah Alun wanted to hand over the letter to Golkar Secretary General Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus directly.
However, Lodewijk was not at the location because there were other activities. The letter was then handed over to the staff of the former Danjen Kopassus, Yuli.
“The Secretary General has not arrived yet, he is on his way, but I thought, I want to hurry, because there are still many other matters,” said Babah Alun when met by media crew after submitting his resignation letter at the Golkar DPP office, West Jakarta, this Monday.
It is known that Babah Alun submitted a letter of resignation after Airlangga Hartarto announced his resignation from the Golkar General Chair position on Sunday (11/8).
Babah Alun denied that he was stepping down as a Golkar cadre in order to follow Airlangga, who has already stated that he is resigning as chairman of the yellow-colored party.
“No, I happened to have been thinking for a long time and the moment was right, God loves me,” said the toll operator.
