A motorboat carrying 200 passengers has capsized in the Lulonga River in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
145 people drowned in this accident and 55 people survived.
It is reported that the accident occurred when the motorboat was overloaded in the Lulonga River.

The accident took place last Tuesday night near the town of Basankusu when the passengers were on their way to the Republic of Congo in a motor boat with their goods and livestock.
The boat was overloaded with passengers, goods and cattle and sank in the river due to its heavy weight.
It is reported that there are no roads in the Congo and people travel by boat, causing frequent boating accidents.
