Kanchipuram: Passengers have demanded that the permanent reservation counter should be reinstated at Kanchipuram new railway station.
At Kanchipuram New Railway Station, a full-time reservation center was functioning from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm a year ago. Due to Corona safety measures, this center was closed. Then, it operates only from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Those who have made bookings for foreign destinations, if they have to cancel the trip, should get the payment within 24 hours from this center. As the booking center closes after 2:00 pm, they are unable to get the payment.
Regarding this, Sudarmani from Kanchipuram said: I often make reservations at this center to go on a trip with my family. It was simple because the former worked full time.
Being a part-time worker, he has to leave other jobs and come here. Also, if a couple makes a booking for a tour, they give them a seat at a different place. If asked, they say that there is no seat in one place. He said this.
