Passenger transportation on the Baku-Balaken-Baku route is being resumed

Azerbaijan Railways CJSC will resume passenger transportation on the Baku-Balaken-Baku route from January 3, 2025.

As Day.Az reports with reference to APA, according to the schedule, sleeper trains will depart from Baku daily at 23:50 and arrive in Balaken at 08:10. The train departing from Balaken at 22:10 will arrive at the Baku railway station at 06:50 in the morning.

Before the pandemic, the train traveled from Baku to Balaken in about 10 hours.

Passengers are offered travel options in standard, standard+ and business classes.

Minimum prices from Baku to Yevlakh station – 13.1 AZN for standard class, 17.6 AZN for standard + class, 54.6 AZN for business class, from Baku to Sheki and Gakh stations, Goynuk stop – 14.8 AZN for standard class, 23.9 AZN in standard+ class, 63.3 AZN in business class, from Baku to the station Zagatala and Goragan, Geyam, Aliabad stops are 16.4 AZN for standard class, 23.9 AZN for standard+ class and 67.7 AZN for business class. Prices in the direction Baku-Balaken-Baku start from 18 AZN for standard class, 27 AZN for standard+ and 72 AZN for business class.

Passengers can use the stations of Baku, Balajary, Yevlakh, Sheki, Gakh, Zagatala, Balaken and the stops Geyam, Goynuk, Goragan, Aliabad. Passengers can also enjoy free Wi-Fi on the train during their journey. The total passenger capacity of the train is 189 people one way. Repair work was carried out at all stations (Sheki, Gakh, Zagatala, Balaken). Conditions for car parking have been created on the station territory.
