Passport issuance day announced during the weekend

Prior to the Holy Week celebrations, the Guatemalan Migration Institute has announced a weekend day for issuing passports in its headquarterslocated in zone 4 of Guatemala City.

This measure aims to provide greater comfort and ease to citizens who need to obtain or renew their identity and travel document before the holidays.

The special day will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm Citizens will be able to go to the Passport Issuance Center, located on 6a. avenue, 1-27, Plaza Ruta shopping center, zone 4 of Guatemala City, to carry out your procedure by appointment.

One of the advantages of this day is that the option to reschedule an appointment has been enabled for those citizens who already had their passport issuance procedure scheduled. Space is limited and document delivery will be immediate, thus streamlining the process for users.

If you already have an appointment scheduled and want to reschedule it for the extended day on Saturday or a different date, follow these steps, just consider that you must reschedule 24 hours before the current appointment:

• Go to the information-passports page/
• Click on the “Reschedule Appointment” button
• Enter the payment slip information
• Select the center, date and time of the new appointment
• Enter the reason for changing the appointment and click on “Yes, reschedule appointment”
