PAT: What has been done in 3 years…

DIG/ The work of the “PAT forum” was held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the Luxury Green hotel in La Sablière in the presence of numerous private sector players and representatives of the national and international press.

Organized by the National Council for the Transformation Acceleration Plan, this meeting was an opportunity for its Executive Secretary, Yves Sylvain Moussavou, the heads of the taskforces, the technical and financial partners, to take stock of the implementation of this three-year program (2021-2023) which is coming to an end soon.

Diversification of sources of growth, upgrading of tangible and intangible infrastructures, redefinition of the social model… all the themes were reviewed.

An exercise which, according to its executive secretary, made it possible to highlight the results, “concrete and quantified, obtained for nearly three years in the highest priority areas such as health, cost of living, employment, infrastructure or education” (see below).

Health

· 2.1 billion FCFA to cover health care during Covid-19

· 1.3 billion FCFA injected into vouchers and food kits during Covid-19

· 0.62% of deaths in Gabon against 1.59% in Cameroon and 0.97% in Ivory Coast

· 48670 people cared for free during Covid-19

The most attractive price of the PCR test in the CEMAC zone (between 5,000 and 20,000 FCFA)

· Over 1.750 million CNAMGS beneficiaries

· More than 80 million drugs distributed in the health structures of the country

· More than 40 health structures created or rehabilitated in the country

Cost of life

· More than 7 700 new recipients of retirement pensions

· 7 billion FCFA to maintain baguette prices at 125 FCFA

· More than 20 billion FCFA monthly subsidy for petroleum products

· 2 billion FCFA for the Assistance Program for Income-Generating Activities

Exemption from import duties and taxes for 67 food products first need

· Over 50 million passengers transported free

· 400 billion FCFA injected to maintain the price of fuel, kerosene and gas cylinder

· More than 4 billion CFA francs for the victims of the human/elephant conflict

Job

· 4 Training centers built, 4 renovated

· 1,600 direct and indirect jobs created during the first operating phase of the Belinga project

· More than 15000 regularization of administrative situations

· 7 billion FCFA for the Microcredit Program for Entrepreneurs

· 20,000 direct and indirect jobs created in the ZIS of Nkok

· 10,000 minutes distributed administrative

Infrastructures

·  Environ 2,000 streetlights installed since 2016

· Next to 3000km of rehabilitated roads

· Next to 500 km paved and paved roads

· 2 billion by province for the development of localities

Multimodal dry port with a capacity of 3000 containers

Education

· 3480 rehabilitated classrooms that can accommodate 122,000 students

· 1400 trained teachers

· Next to 1,180 teachers recruited in high school
