New Delhi: The Supreme Court made very strong comments against Patanjali Ayurveda in the misleading advertisement case. The top court even said that they will destroy you. Earlier, Yoga Guru Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved MD Acharya Balkrishna had given an affidavit and apologized, but the Supreme Court rejected it and said, ‘We do not want to be so generous.’ The court said that he did this only after the mistake was detected. The Supreme Court has now made up its mind to punish him. The bench of judges Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah, who heard the case, said in a strict tone that the accused will have to face action for violation of the undertaking.

Uproar on social media in Patanjali case

On the other hand, during the hearing, the court expressed displeasure towards the Uttarakhand Licensing Authority for negligence in taking legal action against Patanjali and its subsidiary Divya Pharma. The court has sought clarification from the Joint Directors posted in the State Licensing Authority, Haridwar from 2018 till now. There is a lot of discussion on social media on such a strict attitude of the Supreme Court. A section is questioning the intentions of the Indian Medical Association (IMA). He says that IMA is adopting a dual attitude in one matter. He has objections to Patanjali’s advertisement, but remains completely silent on the misleading claims of Christian missionaries and foreign companies.

Ashwini Upadhyay said- the law itself is wrong

Senior Supreme Court lawyer and BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay says that the laws cited by the Supreme Court are actually flawed. He said that the law was made in 1954 itself which states that no one can claim treatment for certain diseases. He further says that the Indian Medical Association has made such a mistake that it has discriminated. Christian institutions should also be attacked on the same parameters on which Patanjali and Baba Ramdev are wrong. Ashwini Upadhyay said that conversions are being done in the name of curing these diseases, but neither the IMA nor any court pays attention there. Listen to his full talk in the video below…

Why are foreign companies not being looked at?

Twitter handle @Incognito_qfs writes with the pictures, ‘Sting is like poison, but is marketed as ‘energy drink’… Children should not drink a drop of it, but they do. IMA never complained against Sting’s ownership company Pepsi. Even the Supreme Court never said that I will blow you to pieces.

An ex-user named Dr. Vivek Pandey says, ‘Hindustan Unilever claims that Lifebuoy hand sanitizer increases immunity. When I filed a complaint with the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), it transferred me to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Maharashtra. To know the updates, information was sought under Right to Information, but no action was taken. This is how the system works for foreign companies.

Open darkness of Christian missionaries

Now let us come to Christian missionaries. In almost all parts of the country including Punjab, Christian missionaries are accused of converting people through deception and greed. Go to the Twitter handle @noconversion, you will be shocked to see the videos of Christian missionaries there. In a video, Pastor Ankur Narula claims that he has cured the problem of uterus coming out of 150 women. Especially, such Christian missionaries are working at many places in Punjab who organize camps and claim to cure those diseases which even doctors could not cure.

Is IMA showing double standards?

It is surprising that the IMA, which has such a strong objection to Patanjali’s advertisement, had appointed Dr. Johnrose Austin Jayalal, who openly propagated Christianity, as its president. The court had advised Jayalal not to favor any religion, so he went to the High Court and got the same advice there. Jayalal is the same person who, while holding the post of IMA President, had said in an interview to Christianity Today, ‘I am a professor of surgery in a medical college. Therefore, I have a good opportunity to advance Christian principles of treatment. I also have the opportunity to guide students and interns. In this interview he clearly talks about treatment from a spiritual perspective, but within the framework of Christianity. He emphasizes the need for more and more Christian doctors and professors.

Right wing thinker Ratan Sharda says, ‘IMA has fallen prey to Patanjali. Yes, Patanjali should be fined, but IMA as an association has kept silence on bigger violators. Dr. Jayalal was also its president. Look at what he said in an interview. Sharda has given screenshots of Dr. Jayalal’s interview in her ex-post.

Patanjali Case Supreme Court: Baba Ramdev does not get relief from the Supreme Court, said in a strict tone ‘We are not blind’

Who will answer these questions?

The Supreme Court, during the hearing on the case of Patanjali Ayurved, also said on Wednesday, ‘We are not blind.’ The question is whether the Supreme Court will keep an eye on the conversion racket of Christian organizations which is moving forward unabated on false claims of curing diseases? The question is, why till now the IMA has not been able to drag the foreign companies or Christian missionaries who are openly violating the rules to court? Be it Supreme Court or IMA, if unilateral action continues then questions on their intentions will deepen further. It is clear from the reaction of people on social media that a section is considering the IMA complaint and the Supreme Court’s harsh remarks against Patanjali as action against the indigenous company and the Indian system of medicine. It feels that foreign companies and organizations engaged in large-scale conversion of Hindus are being given free rein to continue flouting the laws.
