A personal attack on Shahrukh – Deepika?
This is not the first allegation that the BJP has leveled against both of them. In 2015, senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya sparked controversy by saying that even though Shah Rukh Khan lives in India, his heart beats for Pakistan. Likewise, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized Shah Rukh Khan for talking like Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Kabiz Saeed in Pakistan. Shiv Sena and Congress parties opposed this.
Similarly, Deepika Padukone supported the JNU students who fought against the Citizenship Amendment Act, and Deepika Ram Leela’s name was changed due to controversy over its title. Even after that, Deepika has also come under a lot of criticism as religious organizations burnt the poster outside the theatres.
But this time the controversy has arisen due to the color of the clothes worn by the actors in the song included in the film. The Madhya Pradesh Minister has said that the film will be screened only if the color is changed. However, the film crew has not released an official announcement in this regard.
