Passengers looking to book tickets for the Pathanamthitta-Coimbatore AC low floor bus were met with disappointment as the scheduled departure at 8:30 pm was cancelled due to brake failure. This incident has sparked complaints from passengers and locals, who claim that all the AC low floor buses provided for the Coimbatore service are outdated and have broken brakes.
According to reports, there have been ongoing issues with the maintenance of these buses, with previous breakdowns occurring in Thodupuzha and Palakkad last week. Instead of providing a replacement bus, passengers were left to make their journey in a fast passenger bus. This has raised concerns over the lack of spare parts in the depot, which is located in the district headquarters.
