Following the film Vendu Taninatha Kadu, actor Simbu is next seen in the Krishna-directed film ‘Pathu Thala’.
‘Pathu Thala’ is a remake of Kannada blockbuster ‘Mufti’ starring Sivarajkumar.
This 2017 neo-noir film is a major hit in Kannada cinema. This film is the story of a secret police who goes in search of the shadow world Dada. This is the highest grossing film of Shivraj Kumar starrer.
The movie stars Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalaiyarasan and others in lead roles along with Simbu. Director Gautham Menon has officially announced that Simbu will play the villain in Batu Thala.
Produced by Studio Green, KE Gnanavel Raja, the film is directed by A.R. Rahman composes the music. The film is edited by National Award winning editor Praveen KL.
While the first phase of Batu Thala was completed, the second phase was in Visakhapatnam and the third phase was in Kanyakumari. The fourth phase of shooting took place in Bellary, Karnataka. It is noteworthy that the 5th phase of the film was shot at Karaikudi and Kovilur in Sivagangai district. Recently, the shooting of this film took place at Tungapathrai Dam in Karnataka state.
Meanwhile, the current shooting of this film is going on in Hyderabad city. Temple sets are being set up and song scenes are being shot. Director Krishna shared the shooting photos of these song sequences on his Twitter page. This photo is located at the festival Pinnani surrounded by fireflies.
It is to be noted that the official announcement has already been made that the movie ‘Pathu Thala’ will release on December 14 this year.
