In the 4-day match against New Zealand A team, India A team players Abhimanyu Iswaran and Rajat Patidar both scored centuries.
The New Zealand A team toured India and played 3 four-day matches and 3 List A matches.
Batting first in the first 4-day match in Bangalore, New Zealand lost all wickets for 400 runs in 110.5 overs. Joe Carter was bowled out for 197 runs. India A fast bowler Mukesh Kumar took 5 wickets.
A strong start for the Indian team. Priyank Panchal and Abhimanyu Iswaran added 123 runs for the first wicket. Priyank Panchal was dismissed for 47 runs. At the end of the 2nd day, India A team scored 156 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. Abhimanyu Easwaran scored 87 and Ruduraj scored 20 runs.
Today, the 3rd day, Indian A batsmen played well, both Abhimanyu Easwaran and Rajat Patidar scored centuries. Abhimanyu was bowled out for 132 runs. At the end of the 3rd day, India A team has accumulated 492 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 124 overs. Rajat Patidar is on 170 and Tilak Verma is in the field with 82 runs. Rajat Patidar hit 4 sixes and Thilak Verma hit 5 sixes. Rajat Patidar scored 170 runs off 241 balls with 4 sixes and 14 fours.
29-year-old Rajat Patidar has been playing first-class cricket since 2015. Last year Rs. RCB team chose for 20 lakhs. Padidar was not picked by any team in this year’s IPL auction. However, after the start of the match RCB player Sisodia got injured and Patidarai was paid Rs. 20 lakhs was chosen again by the RCB team. RCB won the playoff match against Lucknow thanks to Padidar’s century. Patidar, who scored a hundred off 49 balls, scored 112 runs off 54 balls with 7 sixes and 12 fours and remained unbeaten till the end. He became the first local player not included in the Indian team to score a century in the IPL playoffs. He then scored a century in the final round of the Ranji Trophy to help Madhya Pradesh win the trophy. He has also scored a century against the New Zealand A team.
