The great carnival parade from Patras has ended, in which more than 60,000 carnival goers took part.
Of course, the “Queen” of the carnival and the floats that were built and crafted by the artists of the workshop of the municipality of Patreon were also present.

In an atmosphere of joy and excitement, the great carnival parade began in the center of Patras, with thousands of visitors having “flooded” the city that celebrates and sends messages of hope and optimism with endless joy.

The parade, which presented an impressive panorama of colors, imagination, inspiration and creation, started shortly after 2:00 in the afternoon, with the good weather as an ally. At the top was the band of the Patreon Municipality playing carnival rhythms.

First, the carnival floats that were made in the carnival workshop of the Municipality of Patreon paraded.
In particular, the “Propompos”, the “Carnival King”, the float with the “Queen” of the 2024 paternal carnival, Georgia Sakka, the flower float with 30,000 carnations, the “Smile” inspired by the old silent cinema, the ” Circus Dancers’, ‘John Lennon’ with Flower and Peace Children, as well as children’s carnival floats, ‘Carnival Baby’, ‘Imaginary Journey’, ‘Carousel’, ‘Moon’, ‘Dog’ “, “Centipede”, “Inguana” and “Circus”.

Afterwards, more than 60,000 carnival-goers took over, members of the 181 crews of the “Hidden Treasure”, which constitute the “soul” of the paternal carnival.
With their colorful and impressive costumes, originality, aesthetics, satirical spirit, distinctive hats and accessories generously offered a unique spectacle.
At the same time, they unleashed their imagination, but also their creativity, since they were accompanied by their own carnival floats or large wheeled constructions. The parade, which lasted more than five hours, ended with the traditional and time-honored custom of throwing chocolates.
